Weeknote 26/7
A short work week this week - just Thursday and Friday after taking the first part of the week off to enjoy the summer holidays. We had a beautiful few days, exploring a Lego Exhibition at Suffolk Archives, a beautiful trudge around Needham Lake with our besties (bonus points for excellent kebabs and a sneaky pint). Just what I needed.
The work week consisted of a half-day workshop on our new organisational behaviours - a very interesting piece of work which is part of building out our new strategy and vision.
Also some very exciting progress on a new campaign for one of our businesses. Its always exciting when projects take the next step and get closer to becoming real.
My side project - Watts &co - had a landmark week, with the delivery of two new fermenters. These were paid for by a crowdfunder campaign we ran at the beginning of the year. I can’t wait to get brewing again.

Can very much identify with this Tweet below. All the feels:
I’ve been attempting to change up my reading habits, and work through a backlog of links saved to Instapaper. I’ve uncovered some real gems — some from quite a while ago, so here’s a goodly bunch of links to stuff I’ve read this week which I found interesting
A 2006 piece from Wired about the development of the iPod - which I found from a Guardian article about how Sophie Ellis-Bexter’s naughties dance hit was made.

Raheem Stirling writes beautifully about his life and journey to sporting greatness. I am not a football fan, but I am a fan of the current generation of England players and how they are using their profile and success

Fascinating piece about the social and physiological effects of coffee.

I am a massive space nerd, and any article about Apollo-era rockets will always get my attention. This piece from Air Space Magazine is great because it tells the stories in quotes from the people who were there, and tells the story in their own words.

…and finally, I seem to have got back into the running groove this week. Two 5ks and a 10k to round out the week. I’m sorta aiming for 15 miles / week but I’ll take 12.8 after several weeks of inactivity…
